Gysberts to give talk to citizens group

Citizens for Protection of Washington County will hold its regular monthly meeting Thursday, April 4, at 7 p.m. at the Volunteer Fire Co. of Halfway on Lincoln Avenue. Hagerstown Mayor David S. Gysberts will be the guest speaker.

Gysberts will talk about current and future plans for the City of Hagerstown, which could affect all citizens and taxpayers of Washington County.

After his talk, Gysberts will hold a question-and-answer session.

The meetings are open to the public. Seating is limited.

The citizens group meets the first Thursday of each month at the fire station, except for July and August.

Church services

A Maundy Thursday service is planned at Church of the Holy Trinity Thursday at 7 p.m. Easter services will be held at the Church of the Holy Trinity on Sunday at 10:45 a.m.

A sunrise Easter service is planned Sunday, March 31, at 6:30 a.m. at Christ’s Reformed Church. The sunrise service will be held in the Aspiring to Serve building on the fifth floor.


Ingram School group to give preview at mall

Barbara Ingram School for the Arts will present a preview of its “Legally Blonde The Musical” Saturday, April 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. near the food court area at Valley Mall.
