Hearing set for W.Va. man on charges of possession to deliver crack cocaine

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. — A preliminary hearing for a Summit Point, W.Va., man on charges of possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine is scheduled for April 5 at 11 a.m. before Jefferson County Magistrate M.P. Rissler, according to court records.

Julio Cesar Torres, 34, of 472 Shirley Road, was arrested March 18 during an investigation of the theft of a flat-screen television from a residence and a power tool from Lowe’s, court records said.

Police said they found 218 pieces of crack cocaine with an estimated street value of $11,000 in Torres’ bed, according to court records.

Torres has been released on $100,000 bond, court records said.
