Sharing thanks for Easter

To the editor:

We look forward to Easter, especially the young ones for their basket of candy and eggs, but they know because they have been told there is more to it than those things. Mankind has done, is doing and will continue to make mistakes because we are human, having qualities good and bad.

We needed help. God saw this and came to our aid. Sin is costly.

The price had to be paid and he let his son, Jesus, die on a cross so we could have forgiveness. Love grew where the blood fell; flowers of hope sprang up for men in misery. We respond to this with prayer and thanksgiving.

This birthed our love for others, starting with the marriage ceremony, our babies, relatives, in many occupations that touch our lives. It is nice to enjoy new clothing, special food, get-togethers, our special church services remembering deep in our heart the deep love Jesus had, has and will always have for us.

He is alive today, standing on the right side of God, seeing all, hearing all, knowing all about every one of us,  sending down his blessings 24 hours a day. Oh, how thankful we are for Easter.
