Snowy spring

March 25, 2013|Susie Hoffman | Around Funkstown

Ah, what a beautiful spring. How I adore the buckets of snow and the sound of snow plows.

I have to admit, it is a pretty snow.

With spring break starting later this week and continuing through early next week, the students who attend Washington County Public Schools might spend their break making snow angels.

Gymkana troupe

If you are looking for a fun activity to attend this weekend, look no further than the ARCC at Hagerstown Community College. The Gymkana Troupe from the University of Maryland will perform Friday at 7 p.m.

The troupe performs gymnastics and circus-like acts. Tickets cost $1 per person.

For more information, call 240-500-2225.

Easter is this weekend

Hopefully, the snow will have cleared in time for Easter activities this weekend.

Thank goodness the eggs are colored and not white or that might make finding them in the snow a challenge.
The children of Funks-town are invited to Funks-town Community Park Saturday for an Easter egg hunt from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at pavilion No. 4.

Spring fling sale

The Meritus Medical Center Auxiliary invites the community to attend a spring fling sale Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Room 142 at Robinwood Medical Center. There will be bargains on plants, books, gently used white elephant items, home baked goods, and ham and turkey sandwiches.
