Grace Academy recently held its third annual National Honor Society induction ceremony. The chapter had one current member, in addition to seven former members who have graduated from Grace Academy.

The purpose of the induction ceremony was to add three students to the Grace Academy chapter of the National Honor Society.  The students honored were senior Marley Weagly, and juniors Allison Lehman and Brooke Morgan.

Their membership was earned by the effective demonstration of the four qualities held in high esteem by the National Honor Society and the school.

Those qualities are scholarship, service, leadership and character.  At Grace Academy, juniors and seniors with a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher are offered an opportunity to apply for membership in the National Honor Society.  Candidates must provide evidence of their service, leadership and character, and only after the selection committee is satisfied that the students meet these requirements are they invited to become members.

The committee considers the areas of service, leadership and character just as important as academics.
