How did you get into your business, and what motivated you to start it? I have been wanting to do this for years. I worked for a few local courier services hauling Staples supplies for years, did some FedEx mail and local produce. I went out on my own, working for the uShip website from the TV show “Shipping Wars.” I also worked in the sales market for Coca-Cola and Frito-Lay.

Previous business experience: As an independent contractor for 12 years, I was a business. I ran state-to-state deliveries from Maine to Texas, and as far away as Aspen, Colo.

Number of employees: Five

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.; occasional hours on Saturday and Sunday; hours might vary if necessary
