5K planned at Penn State Mont Alto for April 13

MONT ALTO, Pa. —
The second annual "Blue and White" 5K will begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, on the campus of Penn State Mont Alto. At 8 a.m., children between the ages of 6 and 12 are invited to join the Penn State Nittany Lion for the "Little Lion" Run, a free one-mile trip across campus.

Participants will have an opportunity to win prizes, which will be awarded in four categories, including men and women 30 years old and younger, and men and women 30 years old and younger.

Each of the top three finishers in each category will receive a medal and a VISA gift card. Participants will be given a "goodie bag," filled with coupons, brochures and information about the event's sponsors.

Registration forms are available at the Waynesboro YMCA, Chambersburg YMCA, Greater Waynesboro Chamber of Commerce, Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce, Greencastle Chamber of Commerce and Golds Gym locations in Franklin County. Registration is also available at www.blueandwhite5k.org.

The fee to register for the race is $35 or $30 with a valid student ID.  Children 12 years old or younger can register for $20. Walk-up registration begins at 7 a.m. on the day of the event. For more information, go to www.blueandwhite5k.org.
