Child center plans open house

Open Arms Christian Child Development Center, at 17906 Garden Lane in Hagerstown, will hold an open house Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The center is enrolling those ages 3 years old or are prekindergarten students for next school year.

A spirit night is also planned at the Chick-fil-A Restaurant on Wesel Boulevard Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Spring tractor show on display at mall

Washington County Antique Tractor Club will present its vintage farm equipment spring show at Valley Mall through Sunday.

The event celebrates the area’s farming heritage. 

The club is comprised of a group of men, women and youths who are interested in preserving the history of farm tractors, farm equipment and sharing knowledge with anyone who is interested in learning more about the history of farming.

Each year, the club provides a financial scholarship to one graduate from Tri-State area schools who enters a program of advanced studies leading to a degree in agriculture/natural resources.

Applications will be accepted through April 30.

Parents of Washington County Public Schools students, be sure to note the following on your calendar: Schools will be closed Thursday, March 28, Friday, March 29, and Monday, April 1, for spring break, and Tuesday, April 2, for a professional day. Classes resume Wednesday, April 3.
