Amy Bittle Rohrer, 42, of 603 Fair Meadows Blvd., Hagerstown, Md., died, Monday, March 18, 2013, at the Meritus Medical Center.

Born Friday, May 1, 1970, in Norristown, Pa., she was the beloved daughter of Juanita B. (Carr) Elliott and Dr. William Elliott of Hagerstown and the late Earl Gordon Bittle.

She graduated from Boonsboro High School class of 1988. She went on to further her education at Hagerstown Community College, Shepherd University where she received a BA in social work, Shippensburg University where she earned a master's degree in communications, and later returned to Hagerstown Community College to obtain her degree as a registered nurse. She was confirmed at St. Mark's Episcopal Church.

Besides her parents Amy is survived her son, Adam Nathaniel Rohrer of Hagerstown; sister, Beth Anne Bittle of Frederick, Md.; brother, David A. Bittle and wife Lynn of Middletown, Md.; stepsister, Beth Elliott Levine and husband Philip of Hagerstown; former husband and friend, Dale Rohrer; and godmother, Nancy Koehler of Norristown. Amy is also survived by nieces, Emma Bittle and Mackenzie Bittle and Camille Levine; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Robin A. Bittle; and father, Earl Gordon Bittle.

Services will be held Monday, March 25, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the St. John's Episcopal Church, 101 S. Prospect St., Hagerstown with the Rev. Ann Boyd officiating.

There will be no viewing.

Interment will be private.

Memorial donations may be made in memory of Robin A. Bittle and in honor of Amy to Melmark, Inc., 2600 Wayland Road, Berwin, PA 19312.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown.
