Virginia B. Anderson, 91, of Hagerstown, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born May 2, 1921, in Catawissa, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John Leroy Singley and Helen Esther Prizio (Rupp).

She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Williamsport, the American Legion Auxiliary in Clear Spring, Lady of the Elks in Frederick, and AARP. She also loved playing bingo at the Funkstown fire hall.

She was the loving wife of Kenneth W. Anderson for 73 years.

Virginia is survived by her daughters, Helen McComas and husband, Mike, of Keizer, Ore., Candace Davidson and husband, Kirby, of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., Tamara Fraker and fiance, Mark, of Williamsport, and Barbara Warrenfeltz and husband, Mike, of Hagerstown; grandchildren, Mindy Goody, Michelle Gescher, Melissa McGarvey, John Thomas Best III, Amy Staley, Rebekah Duvall, and Zachary Fraker; a stepgrandson, Michael Warrenfeltz; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her stepfather, Dominic Prizio; and her grandson, Jeremy Miner.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor W. Gregory Martin officiating.

Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
