Two Martinsburg residents get prison on drug charges
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Two Martinsburg residents were sentenced last week by Judge Gina M. Groh in U.S. District Court in Martinsburg, according to U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II.
Rebecca Fowler Faircloth, 52, was sentenced to four years and nine months in prison to be followed by six years of supervised release. Faircloth entered a plea of guilty on Oct. 11, 2012, to distribution of crack cocaine on April 29, 2011. Faircloth was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending designation to a Federal institution.
Melissa Jo Niece, 46, was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment to be followed by six years of supervised release. Niece entered a plea of guilty on Oct. 11, 2012, to distribution of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of Winchester Avenue School on Oct. 4, 2010. Niece, who is free on bond, will self-report to a federal institution on April 15, 2013.

Man pleads guilty to firearm charge
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A Martinsburg resident entered a plea of guilty on March 11, before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel in U.S. District Court in Martinsburg, according to U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II.
Brandon Lee Spaur, 26, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Spaur, who is in custody pending sentencing, faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Gerrardstown resident pleads guilty to theft
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A  Gerrardstown, W.Va., resident entered a plea of guilty on March 13, before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel in U.S. District Court in Martinsburg, according to U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II.
Toni Lee Olshefski-Beatty, 22, pleaded guilty to theft of government funds.
From March 1, 2011, to March 1, 2012, Olshefski-Beatty received, negotiated and converted to her own use $8,834 in benefits which were designated for a qualified recipient, according a news release from Ihlenfeld’s office.
