Hearty Pet plans photo shoot, egg hunt

March 19, 2013

Hearty Pet will host two community events this weekend that will be family friendly and benefit two local pet rescues.

A spring-themed pet photo shoot will be Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with Wertman Photography and an Easter egg hunt will be Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. with the egg hunt starting at 2 p.m.

Both events are at Hearty Pet.

Hearty Pet has teamed up with Hagerstown-based Wertman Photography to help give local residents a chance to have their pets’ photos taken with a spring theme background at the Hearty Pet Retail Store. The store is at 19918 Jefferson Blvd. in Hagerstown.

A 15-minute session can be booked in advance by calling 301-791-7387 and walk-ins may be welcomed depending on amount of participants.

The walk-in rate costs $45 for the session and an 8-by-10-inch professional photo, which will be ready for pick up the following Friday. Those who register a time slot in advance for $5, pay $35 the day of the shot.
Wertman Photography and Hearty Pet will donate a portion of the proceeds to Boonsboro-based rescue Fast Friends Greyhound Rescue.

On Sunday, Hearty Pet will host an Easter egg hunt for children as well as a pet friendly egg hunt. The event will start at 1 p.m. and the hunt will begin at 2 p.m.

Hearty Pet will raffle off a “Build a Bear, Dog” all week long. Proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the

Hearty Pet team participating in this year’s Paws on the Pavement 5K presented by the Humane Society of Washington County.

If you are interested in attending the event, call Hearty Pet at 301-791-7387.
