St. Patrick's Day saturation patrol in Frederick County yields no DUI arrests

FREDERICK, Md. — Maryland State Police conducted a St. Patrick’s Day saturation patrol in the area of the Interstate 70, Interstate 270 and U.S. 15 Sunday night and into Monday morning, but no drivers were charged with driving under the influence, police said.

Troopers stopped 31 vehicles for moving and equipment violations between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m.  One driver was administered a field sobriety test, but was not charged, police said.

Across the rest of Frederick County over the St. Patrick’s Day weekend, state troopers charged eight people with driving under the influence, including three involved in collisions, police said.
