Virginia Louise Baker, 86, of Clear Spring, Md., passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Williamsport Retirement Village.

Born Jan. 5, 1927, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late John Henry Bloyer and Nannie Mae Repp Bloyer.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, David C. Rubeck, in 1953; her second husband, Harry R. Hesson Sr., 1976; and her third husband, Durell W. Baker Sr., in 2004.

She was a member of Mount Tabor Lutheran Church, and was a homemaker. In previous years, she was the owner of Rubeck's Grocery at Dry Run.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda L. Mauro and husband, Victor, of Manahawkin, N.J., Nicki S. Myers and husband, David, of Clear Spring, and Patty Binkley and husband, Donald, of Mercersburg, Pa.; four sons, David A. Rubeck of Clear Spring, Jerry G. Rubeck and wife, Sharon, of Falling Waters, W.Va., James M. Rubeck and wife, JoAn, of Hedgesville, W.Va., and William M. Hesson and wife, Sue, of Hagerstown; stepchildren, Mary Ann Kriner and husband, Wayne, of Hagerstown, Betty Jo Peters of Salem, Va., and Durell W. Baker Jr. and wife, Phyllis, of Clear Spring; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by stepchildren, Dickie Hesson, Joan Lizer and Mildred Ann Baker; and sisters and brothers, William Bloyer, John Bloyer, George Bloyer, Kenneth Bloyer, Woodrow Bloyer, Mary Carbaugh, Lillie Gossard and Ruth Hale.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Cemetery, Clear Spring. The Rev. Robert Shatzer will officiate.

There will be no viewing or visitation per her request.
