Constance Elaine "Connie" Snively Raffensberger, 80, of Inwood, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center, Winchester, Va.

Mrs. Raffensberger was born Jan. 30, 1933, in Hagerstown, Md., the daughter of the late Donald and Hazel "Sis" Routzahn Snively. 

Connie attended Hagerstown High School. She was retired from Corning Glass Works in Martinsburg, W.Va. Connie was a member of the First Baptist Church, Inwood. Along with being very active in her church, she was a member of Bunker Hill C.E.O.S. (Community Extension Outreach Service), a member of the Corning Retirees and former member of the Shenandoah Senior Bowling League. She was an avid sports fan.

Surviving are her children, Linda Whittington of Chula Vista, Calif., Gary "Steve" Whittington and wife, Donna, of Hagerstown, Donna Tucker and husband, Clint, of Vermillion, S.D., and Judy Hockman and husband, Michael, of Winchester; seven grandchildren, Brian Whittington, Jill Peterson Yost, Jeff Peterson, Tara Whittington, Bradley Hockman, Justin Hockman and Matthew Hockman; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Mary Alice Fritts of Charles Town, W.Va.; brothers, Jackie Lee Snively of Lorton, Va., Charles Richard "Dick" Snively of Hagerstown and Donald Wade Snively of Flower Mound, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, at First Baptist Church of Inwood, 634 Middleway Pike, Inwood, with Pastor Devin Ward officiating. The family will have a gathering of remembrance at the church following the memorial service. Connie's final resting place will be Fairview Cemetery in Keedysville, Md. Interment will be private.
