Boys Basketball: Martinsburg moves into state semifinals

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Jordan Robinson scored eight of his 10 points in the final 4 minutes to lift Martinsburg to a 60-50 win over Huntington in the Class AAA quarterfinals Wednesday.

Robinson’s 3-pointer with 3:42 left gave top-seeded Martinsburg (24-2) the lead for good, 51-48. He hit another long jumper a minute later and closed the scoring with a layup with 25 seconds left.

Donte’ Grantham led Martinsburg with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Jalen Lewis added 11 points.

Arick Nicks led eighth-seeded Huntington (18-7) with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Chancelor Wooding added 15 points.

Huntington was in the tournament for the first time since 2008. The Highlanders haven’t won a title since taking three straight from 2005-07.
