Mrs. Betty D. (Martz) Eyler, 82, of 102 Green St. in Waynesboro, Pa., passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at her home.

Born June 6, 1930, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Nettie (Davis) Martz. She was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.

She and her husband of more than 66 years, Mr. Ray A. Eyler, were married March 20, 1946, in Hagerstown, Md.

Mrs. Eyler was a homemaker and, along with her husband, owned and operated Ray A. Eyler's Concrete and Paving in Waynesboro. 

She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Waynesboro.

Mrs. Eyler enjoyed dancing, sewing and shopping, and was an avid bowler.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Eric Eyler and his wife, Penny, and Tom Eyler and his wife, Junia, both of Waynesboro; three grandchildren, Brian Eyler and his wife, Sheila, Tim Eyler and Celsea Eyler; two great-grandsons, Michael Eyler and John Eyler; one sister, Helen Reed of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family, with the Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
