Carol Anne Wiebel, 56, passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at home. She fought her illness bravely and with determination for 10 1/2 years.

Carol was most proud of her family and raising her two boys. Everyone who met Carol was impacted by her strength and kindness.

She enjoyed walking her Yorkshire terrier, reading, shopping for her family and cooking. She will be deeply missed as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

She was born in Cumberland, Md., to her parents, Max and Mary Jane (nee Shupe) Stoner.

After graduation from Red Land High School in Lewisberry, Pa., she went to Shippensburg University and obtained her bachelor’s degree in office management. After working in several banking institutions in Pennsylvania and Maryland, she and her husband moved to Naples in 1988. A few years later, her husband founded a CPA firm, which is now Wiebel, Hennells and Carufe, PLLC. Carol served as the office manager.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Douglas E. Wiebel; and her two sons, Dr. Michael J. Wiebel and his wife, Jaime, of Royal Oak, Mich., and Scott E. Wiebel of Naples. She also is survived by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Max A. Stoner of Naples; her brothers, Max E. Stoner (Beth) of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Robert C. Stoner (Luanne) of Dillsburg, Pa.; and her sister, Joyce L. Maggard (Paul) of Naples. Also surviving are Carol’s in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Richard E. Wiebel of Hagerstown, Md.; and a sister-in-law, Diane Isenberg (Jack) of York, Pa. Two nieces and two nephews and several aunts also will miss her.
