MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The Eastern Panhandle Bicycle Co., or EP/BC, recently opened its new flagship store at 805 E. Moler Ave. in Martinsburg.

The new location retains the company’s industrial-themed store and triples its floor space. It encompasses nearly 10,000 square feet, offering cyclists from beginner to professional a selection of bicycles and accessories.

The new space also will house EP/BC Outdoors. The owners, Brian and Shannon Weber, are adding a dedicated space for outdoor enthusiasts. EP/BC Outdoors will offer products for watersports, hiking, climbing, camping and adventure sports.

EP/BC Outdoors will offer kayaks from Wilderness Systems, Dagger and Perception, and canoes from Mad River. Camping equipment will be offered from Big Agnes, Mountainsmith, GoLite and many other brands. There will also be a wall to test climbing shoes and equipment.

The store sells bicycle brands such as Specialized, S Works, Cannondale, Surly, Fuji and GT. The new showroom allows EP/BC to offer a dedicated women’s section, a professional bicycle-fitting studio and a broader selection of bikes for children.

The service area allows customers to relax at the service bar, interact with the service technicians, have a beverage and use free WiFi while getting their bikes serviced.

Plans are in the works for events and activities geared toward the cycling and outdoor communities, as well as introducing children and newcomers to the outdoor activities in the area.

An open house is planned for the weekend of April 5 to celebrate EP/BC’s fifth anniversary.
