James T. Haines, 60

James T. Haines, 60, of Knoxville, Tenn., passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.

He was of the Baptist faith.

James was a 32nd Degree Master Mason and a member of Evening Star Lodge 180 and Kerbela Shrine Temple.

He was an avid motorcyclist and fisherman.

He was a retired over-the-road truck driver with 35 years of service, most recently with Cox Transportation Services.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Yvonne Campbell Haines; and brother, Robert Haines.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Haines of Knoxville; sons and daughters-in-law, George and Nicole Haines of Knoxville, and William and Rachel Brown of Kingsport, Tenn.; son, Kevin Brown of Powell, Tenn.; grandchildren, Tyler Haines, Mason Brown and Madison Brown; sister and brother-in-law, Vicky and William McKenzie of Williamsport, Md.; brother, Jeffrey Haines of Hagerstown, Md.; special aunt, Connie Mastrouni; special niece, Kimberly Reid; and several other nieces and nephews.

A Masonic service will be Monday at 8 p.m., followed by a funeral service at Stevens Chapel with the Rev. Tim Inklebarger officiating.

Family and friends will meet Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. at the mortuary to go in procession to Greenwood Cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service and interment.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway, Knoxville.
