Ray Lewis McCauley, 75, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Friday, March 8, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born April 28, 1937, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Ralph Arlington McCauley and Anna Mary Stahl McCauley.

Ray was a lifelong dairy farmer at the Greg-Ray Dairy Farm.

He was a 1955 graduate of Hagerstown High School and attended the University of Maryland.

He was a member of Salem Reformed Church. In previous years, he was a member of the Masonic Temple and the Williamsport Lions Club.

Ray is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Donna K. McCauley of Hagerstown; a daughter, Kendra L. Barnhart of Clear Spring; a son, Gregory S. McCauley of Clear Spring; a sister, Jane Noland of Florida; five grandchildren, Jennifer N. Barnhart, Jessica L. Barnhart, Matthew R. McCauley, Drew S. McCauley and Destani J. McCauley; a great-grandson, Mason R. McCauley; and beloved dog, Pookie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Hoffman and Nancy White; and a brother, Ralph A. McCauley.

Services will be Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring, Md. The Rev. Steven Wagoner will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Reformed Church Cemetery, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. For the convenience of friends, you may visit the funeral home after noon.
