Nora Emily Robinson, 101, of Bolivar, W.Va., passed away Friday, March 8, 2013, at her daughter’s residence in Charles Town, W.Va.

Born June 26, 1911, in Williamsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Ross Clair Dell and Alda Bush Dell.

She was an active member of Bolivar United Methodist Church for many years, where she served in many capacities. She most recently was affiliated with Asbury United Methodist Church in Charles Town.

Nora loved to travel, and was proud to have visited 48 U.S. states. She loved to recite poetry and would recite “Annie and Willie’s Prayer” from memory at Christmastime.

She is survived by one daughter, Helen Anders of Charles Town; one son, Richard R. Robinson and wife, Katherine, of Riva, Md.; one brother, Paul Dell and wife, Lucille, of Mill Creek, Pa.; daughter-in-law, Jeri Robinson of Martinsburg, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton W. Robinson, in 2007; one son, Harold C. Robinson; two sisters, Edith Weaver and Hazel Hoover; four brothers, George, James, Robert and Ralph Dell; son-in-law, William G. Anders; and two grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry/Charles Town, with the Rev. Duane Jensen and the Rev. Duane Anders officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Lutheran Cemetery, Bolivar.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour before the service at the funeral home.
