The Side Street Strutters will present "Shining Stockings," featuring vocalist Meloney Collins, at  7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at The Maryland Theatre, 21 S. 2. Frontier days

Sharpsburg Historical Society will hold its meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at Town Hall 106 E. Main St., Sharpsburg. The event will talk about the Commemoration of the 250th anniversary of Sharpsburg's founding, with a presentation about the Colonial frontier by Raleigh Boaze, pictured, portraying a backwoodsman in period clothes. 3. Friday night rockin'

The Eleventh Hour,  pictured; Rookie of the Year, Skyhawk Drive and others will perform Friday, March 15 at Right Choice Ministries, 20204 Old Forge Road, Hagerstown. 6 p.m., doors open; 6:30 p.m., show. $8.

4.'Moonrise' at the library

"Moonrise Kingdom" will be show at 7 p.m. Friday, March 15, at Smithsburg Library's community room, 66 W. Water St., Smithsburg. Set on an island off the coast of New England in the summer of 1965, the film tells the story of two 12-year-olds who fall in love, make a secret pact and run away together into the wilderness. 5. Fun for charity

Showcase of the Stars will be Friday, March 15, at Hager Hall Conference & Events Center, 901 Dual Highway, Hagerstown. Sponsored by San Mar Children's Home. Dinner and a show featuring community celebrities lip-syncing to classic oldies. The show will have an Irish theme. Raffle prizes. Tom Riford will be master of ceremonies.
