Easter Bunny arrives at mall on Saturday

The Easter Bunny arrives Saturday at 11 a.m. at Center Court at Valley Mall.

Each child visiting the Bunny will receive an Easter coloring storybook.

The first 100 people who purchase a photo package will receive a cuddly, plush, angel bunny.

Bunny hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Saturday, March 30.

SHHS Alumni to meet Thursday, March 14

The South Hagerstown High School Alumni Association will meet Thursday, March 14, in the media center at 7 p.m. at South Hagerstown High School.

The agenda includes discussion on scholarships, the annual golf tournament and an alumni football game.

Any graduate of South High is welcome to attend.

Neighborhood watch group might form in area

Halfway area residents are asked to think about joining a neighborhood watch program.

The program is in the research stage to determine if any residents would be interested in attending a meeting or participating.


The center of the watch would be Heisterboro Road, Marbern Road and Piper Lane. It could be expanded depending on participation.

Easter drama planned at church

Virginia Avenue Church of God will hold its annual Easter drama Saturday, March 16, Sunday, March 17, and Friday, March 22, Saturday, March 23, and Sunday, March 24.   

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the presentation starts at 7 p.m. 

The church is at 17306 Virginia Ave. in Hagerstown.
