Thelma Iva (Babe) Keeney, 69, of 11320 Sword Road in Williamsport, Md., died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Meritus Medical Center.

Born May 28, 1943, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Emmert Eugene and Thelma Irene Socks Banzhoff.

She was employed by Williamsport Retirement Village for 30 years, retiring in 2006.

She attended Calvary Temple.

Thelma is survived by her husband, Joseph Keeney; one daughter, Jodie Burchett of Williamsport; four sisters, Bell Eger and Edna Beard, both of Hagerstown, Md., Sandy Goltz of Williamsport and Betty Mauk of Funkstown, Md.; five brothers, Emmert Banzhoff Jr. and Jimmy Banzhoff, both of Chambersburg, Pa., John Banzhoff of Williamsport, Amos Banzhoff of Smithsburg, Md., and David Banzhoff of Maugansville, Md.; and one grandson, Alex Burchett.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Rena Merrbaugh and P. Jean Ridenour; and two brothers, Howard Banzhoff and Lewis Ridenour.

A memorial service will be Monday, March 11, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Temple, 147 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The Rev. Robert V. Robinson will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends Monday one hour before the service.

There will be no viewing.
