Pa. school bus crash leaves students with minor injuries

MARION, Pa. — Students suffered minor injuries in an accident involving a Chambersburg (Pa.) Area School District bus on Tuesday afternoon, according to Pennsylvania State Police and Franklin County Emergency Services.

A cargo van hit the back of a school bus shortly before 4 p.m. in the 6000 block of U.S. 11 in Guilford Township, a 911 dispatcher said.

The bus was stopped with its red lights activated when the accident occurred, state police said.

The man in the van suffered serious injuries and was flown to a hospital, the dispatcher and state police said. He was the only person in the van, police said.

It was not clear to which hospital the man was taken.
