Warrants issued for three in connection with stabbing

Three Hagerstown men have been charged in warrants in connection with the stabbing of a man early Sunday at a downtown restaurant, the Hagerstown Police Department said.

Christopher Dorm, 23, Antwann Jackson, 26, and Justin Lawrence, 25, were charged with one count each of first-degree assault, second-degree assault and conspiracy to commit second-degree assault, according to a police department news release.

Officers were called at 12:41 a.m. Sunday for a report of a stabbing at El Palenque Cantina Restaurant at 204 E. Franklin St., the release said. When police arrived, they found a man with a non life-threatening stab wound to the lower back.

Police said the victim was taken to Meritus Medical Center east of Hagerstown.

The warrants were issued after an investigation, according to the release.
