Williamsport town election set for Monday

WILLIAMSPORT — Williamsport will hold an election Monday for mayor, assistant mayor and two council seats.

Mayor James G. McCleaf II, 42, will face Esther R. Robinson. McCleaf has been mayor since 2005 and was re-elected in 2009.

Council member Joan Knode is running unopposed for assistant mayor.

The current assistant mayor, Anthony “Tony” Drury, is not seeking re-election.

Council member Timothy W. Fraker is also not seeking re-election.

Running for the two open council seats are Scott L. Bragunier, David William Kirby, Todd R. Kirby and Jeffrey Alan Redding.

Voting is conducted from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at town hall at 2 North Conococheague St.
