West Hagerstown Lions Club news

In December, members of the West Hagerstown Lions Club did well with the sale of their Christmas crafts.
The club also had a successful ham sandwich sale in January. Thanks to everyone for their support.

The activity for February was an enjoyable evening playing bingo with the residents of Walnut Towers and serving refreshments.

A spaghetti dinner is being planned for April.

• On March 18, the guest speaker will be Ronn Wade, director of the Maryland State Anatomy Board.
He will speak about the anatomy board, its donor program and the impact those donations have on medical education, clinical training and research.

He will also discuss organ tissue donation and other “end of life” options and considerations. Wade is traveling from Baltimore and will be on hand  along with his associate, Jim Harmon, who just relocated to Hagerstown.

The public is invited.

The club meets at Washington Square United Methodist Church, 538 Washington Ave. starting at 6 p.m., with dinner at 6:3 p.m.
