Philip S. “Phil” D’Angelo, 76, of Pleasant Valley Road, Smithsburg, Md., passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at his home.

Born Aug. 2, 1936, in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of the late Philip H. and Mary (Yovonoff) D’Angelo.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Willow Brook Seventh-day Adventist Church of Boonsboro, Md.

He was employed over the years as a barber, a mason, and a sales representative.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pat M. D’Angelo, whom he married July 12, 1964; one daughter, Trish Fields of Falling Waters, W.Va.; one son, Gary D’Angelo and wife, Cherie, of Woodbine, Md.; twin brother, Don D’Angelo of Sunnyvale, Calif.; sister, Karen Juhl of Clarkston, Wash.; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 3, 2013, at 4 p.m. at Willow Brook Seventh-day Adventist Church, with Pastor Tim Crosby officiating.

Arrangements were made by J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg.
