The Antietam Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary will host a basket and cash bingo Sunday at Western Enterprise fire station, 526 Washington Square, Hagerstown. 

Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and bingo starts at 1:30 p.m.

 Tickets cost $20 and there will be food available for purchase.

Tip jars will be available.  Participants must be 16 years old to play bingo.

 The proceeds will be used to help the local community.

Neighborhood meeting

The Elizabethtown East Chapter of Neighborhoods 1st will meet Tuesday, March 5, at 7 p.m. at Rocky’s Pizza next to City Hall on Potomac Street.

The community is invited to attend.

Spaghetti dinner set for Saturday

A spaghetti dinner will be held Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Washington County Agricultural Education Center’s multipurpose building.

The center is at 7313 Sharpsburg Pike, Boonsboro.

The menu includes spaghetti, salad, applesauce, roll and cake. Ice cream by Misty Meadow Farm Creamery will be available.

Tickets cost $8 for adults, $5 for those ages 5 to 10 and are free for those 5 and younger.

Proceeds benefit the Washington County Ag Expo and Fair

Lenten lunch services offered

 During each Wednesday in Lent, Christ’s Reformed Church will offer a short midday lunch and service in its auditorium from 12:15 to 1 p.m.

Attendees will share a light lunch, then hear lessons from pastor and author Tim Keller from his DVD series, “The Gospel in Life.” 

The topics will be:

  • Wednesday — “Community: the Context for Change”
  • Wednesday, March 6 — “Witness: an Alternate City”
  • Wednesday, March 13 — “Work: Cultivating the Garden”
  • Wednesday, March 20 — “Justice: a People for Others”
  • Wednesday, March 27 — “Eternity: the World that is to Come”

The church is at 130 W. Franklin St. in Hagerstown.
