Basket bingo Sunday at fire station

A basket bingo will be held Sunday at the Maugansville Fire Station, 13730 Maugans Ave.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and bingo begins at 1 p.m.

Tickets cost $20 and include six bingo cards for regular games and one of each for bonus games. Food will be available for purchase. All proceeds will benefit the fire company.

Line dancing  planned Saturday

The Country Western Dance Association will hold a line dance for singles and couples Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m. at the former Quincy School Gym, 7888 Anthony Highway in Waynesboro, Pa. 

The dance is open to the public and the cost is $5 per person.



Ruritan pancake breakfast planned

The Maugansville Ruritan Club will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast Saturday from 6:30 to 11 a.m. at its blue community center on Maugans Avenue.

The menu includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, sausage gravy, juice, coffee and tea.

Tickets cost $5.50 for adults, $3 for those ages 6 to 12 and are free for those 5 and younger.

There is plenty of free parking, and the lines move quickly.



Potpie dinner set for March 2

Broadfording Church of the Brethren Fellowship, at 14010 Greencastle Pike, Hagerstown, will hold a chicken potpie dinner and talent show Saturday, March 2, from 4 to 7 p.m.

The meal includes potpie, green beans, corn, roll and beverage. Tickets cost $7 for adults and $3 for those younger than 8. Dessert will be available for a donation. Proceeds will benefit a mission trip to the Dominican Republic.

Longmeadow Lions to hear eye specialist

Chad Tiede from Ludwick Eye Center will present a program on “Aging Eye Issues” at the Longmeadow Lions Club meeting at Always Ron’s Restaurant on Thursday, Feb. 28, at 6:30 p.m.

Women’s Club spring bargain sale planned

The Women’s Club will hold its spring bargain sale Friday, March 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday, March 2, from  9 a.m. to noon.

Gently used clothing, purses, shoes, household merchandise and jewelry will be available for purchase at discount prices.

The club is at 31 S. Prospect St. in Hagerstown.
