Tractor-trailer struck by clay pigeons thrown from I-70 overpass

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. — A Georgia man has been charged with striking a tractor-trailer with clay pigeons that were thrown from a highway overpass Tuesday in Bethel Township, Pa., Pennsylvania State Police said.

Benny Franklin McDaniel, of Ray City, Ga., was charged with propulsion of missiles and criminal mischief, according to a state police news release.

Troopers allege the incident occurred shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday, when a number of orange clay pigeons were thrown from the Mill Hill overpass above Interstate 70 eastbound in Fulton County.

The clay pigeons shattered the tractor-trailer’s windshield, the release said.
