Pa. man charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — A Waynesboro man has been criminally charged after allegedly serving alcohol to a girl and sexually assaulting her.

Michael Helman, 48, of 111 E. North St., is charged with one count each of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and aggravated indecent assault, and two counts of corruption of minors, Waynesboro police said in a news release.

Police said a female juvenile told them Feb. 13 that a man served her alcohol and sexually assaulted her.

Helman used a bondsman to post $100,000 bail to be released from the Franklin County (Pa.) Jail on Monday, according to online court records. His preliminary hearing was scheduled for Feb. 26.
