Doleman event set for Saturday

The fourth annual Doleman Black Heritage Museum Celebration of Black History will be Saturday at The Maryland Theatre, 21 S. Potomac St. in Hagerstown.

Doors open at 2 p.m. and the program begins at 3 p.m. The master of ceremonies will be Minister Eric Rollins.

The event honors black inductees to the Hagerstown Community College and Washington County Hall of Fame.

The Bowie State University Gospel Choir will perform.

Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased at the box office.

Dinner planned

Emmanuel United Methodist Church, at the corner of Howard Street and Summit Avenue in Hagerstown, will hold an all-you-can-eat ham and turkey dinner Saturday from 1 to 6 p.m.

The menu includes turkey, ham, homemade stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, applesauce, green beans, sauerkraut, homemade desserts and a beverage.

Tickets cost $10 for adults, $3 for those ages 6 to 10 and are free for those 5 and younger.

The meal will be eat in or take out. The dining room is handicap-accessible from the Summit Avenue entrance.

Tickets can be purchased at the church office until Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The community is invited. 

Women’s Club spring bargain sale

The Women’s Club, at 31 S. Prospect St. in Hagerstown, will host its spring bargain sale Friday, March 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday, March 2, from 9 a.m. to noon at the club.

Gently used clothing, purses, shoes, household merchandise and jewelry will be available for purchase at discount prices.
