Edith Rae Myers, 88, of Clear Spring, Md., passed away Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at Williamsport Nursing Home.

Born Nov. 29, 1924, in Williamsport, Md., she was the daughter of the late David Lee Kershner and Alma Slayman Kershner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Ray Myers, in 1998.

Edith was a 50-year active member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Clear Spring, where she served in many capacities. She was a 1942 graduate of Clear Spring High School, and retired from the Washington County Free Library. Edie was a founding member of the 500 card club in Clear Spring.

She is survived by her children, Carole Robinson and husband, Victor, of Clear Spring, and Steven Myers and wife, Betty, of Clear Spring; a sister, Margaret Cornett and husband, Fred, of Clear Spring; a brother, Richard Kershner and wife, Joan, of Clear Spring; one grandson, Steven Scott Myers and fiancee, Heather Stevens; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Webb and Mildred Schryock.

There will be no viewing or visitation.

A graveside service will be Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Little Rose Hill Cemetery, Clear Spring. The Rev. Charles Mackley will officiate.
