Name of business: Truly France

Owner: Barbara Farhat

Address: 1039 Crestwood Drive, Chambersburg, Pa.

Opening date: March 24, 2012

Products and services: I offer products from France, including bath and body products, gourmet food, fabric accessories and olive wood kitchenware. I sell them during home parties, where attendees can sample the products in a French-oriented atmosphere. I carry everything with me, so attendees leave the party with their products and avoid shipping costs. Products are also sold on the Web and at markets such as the North Square Farmers Market in Chambersburg.

Target market: Hagerstown to Harrisburg, Pa., area

How did you get into your business, and what motivated you to start it? As I discovered the wonders of the United States and as I liked living here more and more, I wanted to share something really special and different from my country. That is why the products I offer are made by small producers I choose. I started this business thinking everyone here should have the opportunity to enjoy something special from France.
