Marion Ruth Williams Pfisterer, 87, of Wexford Village Circle in Lenoir, N.C., died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Shaire Center.

Born May 22, 1925, in Dunkirk, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ruth Irving Williams.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles O. Pfisterer; and two sisters.

Mrs. Pfisterer was a retired teacher with the Waynesboro Area School District in Pennsylvania and a member of United Presbyterian Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and teacher.

She is survived by two sons, Charles W. Pfisterer and wife, Trudy, of Hernando, Miss., and Richard J. Pfisterer and wife, Laurie, of Westminster, Md.; one daughter, Susan Barnett and husband, Scott, of Lenoir; grandchildren, Traci Franzone, Christopher Pfisterer, Allison Scull, Ryan Pfisterer, Chris Barnett and Andy Barnett; and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at 10 a.m. at United Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Stephen M. Austin officiating.
