Donation to school

Thanks to the efforts of Mark Fulton of AC&T, at 11079 Big Pool Road in Big Pool, Clear Spring Elementary School has been awarded a $500 ExxonMobil Education Alliance grant for math and science instruction.

The money will be used to purchase resources, which will be used to further learning in STEM, or Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
Funded by the ExxonMobil Corp., the program is designed to provide Exxon retailers such as AC&T with an opportunity to invest in the future of their communities through educational grants to neighborhood schools.

Last man’s club

All members of the Post 222 American Legion in Clear Spring who were in the service during the Vietnam War are invited to join the Last Man’s Club.

Pancake breakfast

Wilson Ruritan will hold a country butchering and pancake breakfast Saturday from 6:30 to 11 a.m. at the Wilson Ruritan Club on U.S. 40.

The menu includes all-you-can-eat-pancakes and your choice of one side: puddin’, pon haus, sausage patty, or sausage gravy. Coffee and orange juice are included.

The breakfast costs $4.50.

Bingo planned

The Clear Spring Blazer Band Boosters will hold a Vera Bradley/Longaberger/Thirty-One bingo Sunday, Feb. 17, at the Clear Spring Special Events Building, 12323 Big Spring Road.

The doors will open at 11:30 a.m. and bingo will begin at 1 p.m.

Tickets cost $25 each and include lunch. There will be raffles and tip jars, as well.
