1. Murderer among friends

"The Mousetrap" by Agatha Christie will be presented 6 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; matinee Sunday, Feb. 24, at The Washington County Playhouse Dinner Theater, 44 N. Potomac St., downtown Hagerstown. Show opesn Friday, Feb. 8, and continues through Saturday, March 23 A group of strangers are trapped in a manor house during a storm. One of them is a murderer. Tickets cost $29 to $42. 2.  Sweetheart of an evening

Sweetheart Gala will be from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Fountain Head Country Club, 13316 Fountain Head Road, north of Hagerstown. Dinner and dancing. Proceeds benefit uninsured patients of Walnut Street Dental Practice. 6 to 11 p.m. $60. Call 301-393-3466


3. Night of song and dance

"The All Night Strut" will be 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, and Saturday, Feb. 9; 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, at Apollo Civic Theatre, 128 E. Martin St., Martinsburg, W.Va. The fundraiser for Apollo Civic Theatre will feature vocalists Kim Herman, Terri Magers, Chris Steele and Steve Steel. Music direction by Alison Shafer. Prior to the Saturday, Feb. 9, show a USO-style dance will be held in the ballroom at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $15 for the show. Tickets for the dance cost $20 or $30 for the dance and show. 4. Out in the cold

Freezing on the Frontier will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Fort Frederick State Park, 11100 Fort Frederick, Big Pool. Costumed guides will show how soldiers survived the winter during the French and Indian War. $3 per car; out-of-state residents: $5 per car. 5. Music and more

Evening of music and poetry will be 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Hagerstown Community College's Black Box at Kepler Theater, 11400 Robinwood Drive, east of Hagerstown. An elegant evening with classical music, poetry and desserts. Business casual or evening attire. Sponsored by Robinwood Players Theater Club. $20. Proceeds will benefit REACH Cold Weather Shelter.
