Sister Pearl J. Harvey Williams, 90, of Hagerstown, Md., went to be with the Lord on Jan. 30, 2013.

Born Nov. 16, 1922, in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John and Grace Harvey. She was married to the late Charles Marvin Williams.

She is survived by her son, David M. Williams; former daughter-in-law, Betty Burton; one sister, Malinda Brown; four grandchildren, Ronnie Baltimore, David M. Williams, Melissa Williams and Melinda Williams Tucker; a niece; a nephew; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Roscoe Clark; and sister, Mable Boyd.

Sister Pearl was a lifelong member of Greater Campher Temple in Hagerstown. She was active in Sunday school, Mothers Club, deaconess board, anniversary committee, and the kitchen committee. She was an avid religious writer and not only taught the love of God and the message of salvation, but also lived it.

Pearl graduated from North Street High School in 1940. She was employed at Fairchild Aircraft Co. until 1945.

There will be a memorial service Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 at 4 p.m., at Greater Campher Temple in Hagerstown.
