Waynesboro business expo set for Feb. 9

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Some of the area’s most respected companies from a variety of business sectors will be represented Saturday, Feb. 9, during the Greater Waynesboro Chamber of Commerce’s business expo.

The 17th annual event will run from 7:30 a.m. to noon at Waynesboro Area Senior High School, 550 E. Second St.
 
Spectator entrance is free.

The expo will be held in conjunction with Waynesboro Lions Club’s annual all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast. Tickets can be purchased for $5 per person prior to the breakfast and $6 per person at the door. Tickets for ages 5 to 12 cost $3. Tickets can be purchased prior to Feb. 9 from Waynesboro Lions Club members.

Local collectors Terry Barkdoll and Sam Tressler will offer appraisals of carry-in items such as coins, Pen Mar and Waynesboro memorabilia, John Bell pottery and antique toys. Appraisals cost $5 per item.
 
Bill Scott of Wild Bill’s, 74 W. Main St. in Waynesboro, will buy and sell gold for a fee of $5 per person.

Money collected from the two booths will benefit the effort to construct the 9/11 memorial in Red Run Park, and a scale prototype of the 9/11 memorial will be on display for those in attendance to view.
