Police seek two in robbery at Hagerstown bar

January 30, 2013

Hagerstown police are looking for two people who robbed a Potomac Street bar Tuesday night, police said in a news release.

At about 11:15 p.m., a uniformed police officer on patrol saw two suspicious males enter Side Pockets Bar at 807 S. Potomac St., the release said. As he turned his patrol car around to investigate, the officer saw the two run out of the bar and run northbound on South Potomac Street, according to the release.

The officer, believing the bar had just been robbed, pursued the two but was unable to locate them, police said. A K-9 search was also unsuccessful, the release said.

Officers confirmed that the bar had been robbed, police said.

One of the males was dressed in a gray zip-up hooded sweat shirt, dark-colored pants, a Cincinnati Reds baseball cap and white shoes. The other was dressed in a camouflage-style jacket, blue jeans and black shoes, according to the release.
