1. Sounds of strings

The 2013 All County Middle and High School Orchestra concert, with Jan Wagner conducting the middle school orchestra and Elizabeth Shulze conducting the high school orchestra. Concert is at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at North Hagerstown High School auditorium, Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown. $4, advance; $5, at the door. Senior citizen Gold Cards and Washington County Public School employee ID badges will be honored.


2. Unfinished Business

Unfinished Business will perform from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Hillbilly Heaven, 3280 Martinsburg Road, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. $4. Open to ages 21 and older. Call 304-258-0004.


3. Beneficial event

Wine and cheese and auctions benefit will be from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at The Gourmet Goat, 41 N. Potomac St., downtown Hagerstown. Items available for auction include an antique player piano and other items. Wine and other drinks will be sold. 50/50 raffle, door prizes. Proceeds benefit Community Free Clinic. $25 per person; credit cards will not be accepted for auction items. Call 301-790-2343.

David's Harp Band will perform at Saturday, Jan. 26, at 7 p.m. The Way Station Coffeehouse, 300 W. Main St., Waynesboro, Pa. Email thewaystationministries@hotmail.com.



5. On the organ

John Scott, organist at St. Thomas Church in New York City, will perform at the Carroll Henshaw Hendrickson Organ Recital. Concert is at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at Mercersburg Academy's Irvine Memorial Chapel, 300 E. Seminary St., Mercersburg, Pa. Free.
