Allegany Dental Care is holding its sixth annual food drive during January and February. It will accept donations of nonperishable food items at its three locations. 

All food collected will be donated to the Maryland Food Bank — Western Maryland Branch (formerly Food Resources Inc.)

The locations are 19418 Leitersburg Pike, 22109 Jefferson Blvd. and 17719 Virginia Ave.

The offices are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Smithsburg senior site calendar:

  • Wednesday — Nutrition Education, 10 a.m.  
  • Friday — Birthday luncheon, 11:30 a.m.  
  • Monday — Cards, dominoes or games, 10 a.m.

Ballroom dance

Clare Domer’s ballroom dance will be Thursday from 7 to 10 p.m. at Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion on Northern Avenue in Hagerstown. 

Admission costs $5 per person.

Fashion show set for Feb. 2

Hagerstown Community College’s Black Student Union will host its third annual fashion show Saturday, Feb. 2, beginning at 7 p.m., at Kepler Center.
The show will feature student models displaying a variety of clothing styles, including casual, career, sportswear and formal wear. Vendors include Déjà Vu Boutique, JC Penney, Jos. A. Bank, Deb, Rue 21, Kasper, Reebok, Jones New York, Wilsons Leather, and the HCC Campus Store.

Musicians Beyonka Marie, Iron Lion, and Spence will perform.

Admission costs $5 for HCC students and $7 for the general public. Donations will be accepted for Girls Inc.
