Kaplan University announces launch of eight scholarships

Kaplan University has announced the launch of eight academic scholarships that will reduce the overall tuition of select programs by thousands of dollars for eligible new students who enroll at Kaplan University-Hagerstown and Kaplan University Learning Center-Rockville, Md. 

Ranging from $2,000 to $12,750 in total award amounts, the following scholarships can be applied to undergraduate and graduate degree programs, as well as postgraduate certificate programs:

• The Success, Single-Parent, Phi Theta Kappa, and Employment Bridge scholarships provide recipients with a $500 reduction in tuition per term, awarding up to $8,500 toward a bachelor’s degree and up to $4,500 toward an associate’s degree.

• The College of Public Service (CPS), comprised of the School of Public Safety and the School of Arts and Sciences, offers undergraduate scholarships from $500 per term and total award amounts between $1,500 and $8,500. Scholarships for CPS graduate programs range from $400 per course, with maximum awards between $2,000 and $4,000.

• The Achievement Scholarship offers the highest award amount with a $750 per term reduction in tuition, contributing a maximum of $12,750 toward a bachelor’s degree and up to $6,750 toward an associate’s degree.

• The Accelerated Scholars Award provides a tuition credit covering 25 percent of the cost of a single five- or six-credit hour course for students seeking to increase their course load.
