Edith Leona (Brinton) Seal, 91, of Hagerstown, passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at NMS Healthcare.

Born Nov. 5, 1921, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Abram S. and Bertha Blaine (Springer) Brinton.

Edith was a graduate of Hagerstown High School. She worked as a pharmacy technician assistant at People's Drug Store and CVS for 53 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Dixie L. Sirbaugh and her husband, Junior, of Boonsboro; a son, Ronnie Lacey and his wife, Dianna, of Hagerstown; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Edward Seal Jr.; five brothers; two sisters; and a great-granddaughter, Danielle Smith.

Edith was not only the youngest of her family, but also the last surviving member.

A funeral service will be Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Mark C. Mooney officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
