By Karen Anderson/Special to The Herald-Mail

Name: Cummins

Age: 1-year-old

Color: Tan, black and brindle

Breed: Pit bull mix

ID: A16747413

Such a sweet boy, Cummins longs to be a lap dog — despite his size. He will bond with his new family very quickly. He will not do well with fenced in yards because he's an amazing jumper.

Cummins and many other animals are available for adoption at The Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Road, north of Hagerstown. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Animal visitation begins at 10 a.m. daily. Closed on Sunday.

For more information, call 301-733-2060.

Tune in to HMTV6 Thursdays at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. for "Paws for Thought."
