Blood drives planned

The Washington County Chapter of the American Red Cross is planning blood drives in the days ahead. 

On Wednesday and Monday, Jan. 14, blood donors can visit Red Cross headquarters on Conrad Court in Hagerstown.

Wednesday’s drive runs from noon to 6 p.m. and Monday’s is from 1 to 7 p.m.

King Day program

Contemporary School for the Arts and Gallery Inc. on Franklin Street will host a Martin Luther King Jr. Day event Tuesday, Jan. 15, beginning at 6 p.m.

Guest speakers will be Arthur Page, Jay Kelsh, London Holly and others. 

The Doleman Black Heritage Museum will have an exhibit on display, as well as the piano stylings of Matthew Murray.

The public is invited.

Alumni meeting

The South Hagerstown High School Rebel Alumni Association will meet Thursday at 7 p.m. in the school’s media center.
Scholarships and the annual golf tournament are on the agenda. All South High graduates are encouraged to attend.

Lions Club

The Lions Club of Funkstown will meet Wednesday at 6:20 p.m. at the Ramada Plaza Hotel on Underpass Way.
