Virginia J. "Ginny" Goslin, 92, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, surrounded by her daughter and granddaughters.

She was born Aug. 29, 1920, in Hagerstown.

Virginia was the daughter of the late Robert F. and Anna M. Butts Johnson.

Virginia was the wife of Bayard W. Goslin, who passed away June 19, 1972.

Virginia was a member of Oak Ridge Garden Club and Southside Bowling League, and enjoyed birds, flowers, word-search puzzles, soap operas, and crab cakes and beer at Chic's Seafood in Hagerstown.

She loved animals and spending time with her family. Ginny especially loved her great-granddogs, Buster and B.J.

Virginia is survived by her loving daughter, Stephanie V. Mills of Funkstown, Md.; granddaughters, Jessica Y. Colbert of Hagerstown, Krista R. Giffin and husband, Bud, of Boonsboro, Md., and Robin Powell of Massachusetts; a grandson, Troy A. Goslin of Ohio; great-grandchildren, Brendon and Brianna Colbert, and Breanna and Nayh; sister, Henrietta M. Burns; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Alan B. Goslin, Dec. 17, 2000; brothers, R. Lewis Johnson and Russell Johnson; sister, Mary M. Johnson Younkins; niece, Suzanne Hancock; and great-grandson, Trenton E. Colbert.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 17626 Bakersville Road, Boonsboro. The Rev. Darrell L. Layman will officiate. Burial will be private at the convenience of her family.

There will be no viewing.

Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
